I was listening to New Orleans station WWL earlier and they had a piece on the Hornets situation with Davis and their GM's (Bob Bass?) opinion of Yao. According to the hosts of the WWL's Sports Talk program, the Hornets GM supposedly said Yao wouldn't do much besides change light bulbs for his first couple of years and that if he were in the Rockets position he would take Jay Williams. Yeah, I know. Consider the source. At least it should make good bulletin board info when the teams play. As for Davis, the hosts said that the Hornets were upset with his new agent's declaration that Davis didn't plan to resign with the Hornets when his contract was up next year. Supposedly the Hornets are shopping Davis now and have approached the Bulls about working a deal to include players (such as Fizer) and the #2 pick so the Hornets could take Williams.
