I knew even before tonight.. He thinks he's an all star or something.. Whassup with chucking those three pointers? Is he trying to be hero?
I hate it when he's on the floor. When you have Rafer Alston and John Lucas III taking every shot down the stretch you don't have a chance.
jeez. there must allways be a whipping boy, huh? if you think it's lucas' fault that we lost, you are fooling yourself.
I can't believe we didn't get blown out. no big deal.. I was expecting a loss.. without our main weapons..
Yay...Rafer is officially out of the doghouse. Johnnie is in. T-90 seconds until someone calls for Spanoulis.
i never said that. it wasn't his fault, but he's not a good pg. Some people were suggesting in the past that he start. he's not good.
I dont think people are saying we lost because of him. Did you see his shot selection? Everytime he steps on the court, he starts chucking up shots. There are some games where he made a lot of them, but tonight, it was brick after brick. He took 13 shots in 19 mins, which is more than anyone else besides Alston.
Van Gundy doesn't particularly like small guards (hence, we went out and got Snyder, and wanted a Bonzi). It's just all we've ended up with Wesley and ilk. And considering Van Gundy's affinity for defense and a slower pace, how is JL3's lack of defense and preference for helter skelter ball a reflection of Van Gundy ball??
PLAY SPANNNN Weve seen wat lucas can do-throw up shots in a hurry-but lets see wat Spann can do. Pros: *Big *Fast *Good Defender *Can Pass well Cons: *Cant shoot *Turns it over hmmm... well it wouldn't hurt to try him for some extended minutes, especialy when we're matched up w/ a juggernaut like Phoenix and are missing both superstars
What love affar with JL3? There was a poll about our PGs and just how many wanted him to start? Very few. This is just another "create your own whipping boy" thread after a loss. Choose the Rocket who had the worst game and swing away. Whatever.
no he's not, but he does have potential. he's very quick, plays hard, and finishes well on drives. if he can work on his jumper and (most of all) his court vision, he would be a decent backup. like JVG said, if he could just see half the court, he'd be a good player. it's rpetty obvious that we need a vet PG coming off the bench / stealing some of rafers minutes. here's hoping for the TE to go to a guy like stoudamire or atkins.
