Hello Clutchfans, I feel awkward posting this on a message board, but I'm trying everything I can to get support for my beloved family. In December, my little cousin, Maily, was diagnosed with a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma which is an inoperable brain tumor. I humbly ask you all to please visit her fundraising link and support her cause by learning about her story and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Also, if you can, please share her fundraising link so everyone can know what a strong-willed and beautiful girl my little cousin is. Fundraising link: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/hope-fund-for-maily-nguyen/134868 Doctors give her about 6 months to live and we're just trying to relieve all the financial stress their family is suffering - while also trying to make her life as comfortable as possible. So if by any chance you guys are generous enough to make any sort of donation, your efforts will be truly appreciated and forever recognized. All donations raised here will go directly to Maily's benefit. Any excess of funds will be contributed back to other children impacted by cancer. Thank you all for reading and please remember to cherish every single moment with your loved ones.
Yeah, our family has no history of cancer of any kind. So obviously we are so shell shocked and confused as to why this happened to the most innocent, brightest little girl I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. The world is a cruel place sometimes.
Why do you feel awkward about asking for help? Don't. Tipped the jar. I hope that, for a miracle, she beats this.
I know it is UT and my Longhorn nation stretches far and wide but $50K was raised in 2-3 days to help a campus icon who had become homeless. Facebook is great at this if you get it going among 28-50 year olds. I am 34 and I go to FB for two things. See pics of my friends kids and to see pics of food. I assume you are Vietnamese, get a hold of some of the more popular DJ's. Email Chloe Dao. Walk into her store and ask if she can help spread the word. You just need the right one person to open up the flood gates to help her. Sounds dumb but have you thought about contacting the Elen show? She does this stuff all the time. I know she gets tons of emails but maybe yours will be it.
Wow, thank you so much guys for contributing and for the advice. I am beyond belief at how much support we're getting. Makes me want to have faith in this world again.
Praying for you and your family, she so precious. I'm also sharing the link to my facebook account. Hopefully more folks can donate.
