"So little Nikko says make a move Grandaddy;and I make a move..." Most of professional basketball "pressure" possessions come down to the mano-a-mano match-ups where one player breaks out a move on his defender. Being in Houston there is no doubt that the greatest move of all time is the "Dreamshake", Olajuwon gets the ball low left, takes one dribble left like he's going in the lane then he spins back to his right for the soft baseline jumper. Sweet. But what other signature moves are the greatest? 1. Jabbar's sweeping sky-hook 2. Mchale's drop step 3 Ervings baseline reverse scoops 4.Shaq's bull rush dunk 5.Malone's flop and foul shots Others?
KG's jab-step, jab-step, into the man turnaround semi hook. Magic's baby hook. Jordan's looking at the ref. Reggie's reaching underneath his man's arms and pulling them down, them flailing as if held move. Duncan's up and under off the glass. Isiah's pull up 15 footer. Dantley's leaning and-1. Iverson's cross.
From Sports Illustrated (Phil Taylor, specifically), 3/16/98 (includes mini-stories on each of the top moves): 1) Dreamshake 2) Jordan's fadeaway 3) Iverson and Tim Hardaway's crossovers 4) Steve Smith's fake spin 5) Shaq's drop step Through history ("If we were opening a museum of great moves of the past, these would be our top five exhibits" ... "excluding such memorable trademarks as Kareem's skyhook and Gervin's finger roll, because they were shots not moves"): 1) Magic's no-look pass 2) Cousy's behind-the-back moves 3) Erving's behind-the-backboard moves 4) Earl Monroe's spin move 5) McHale's post-up package "Future" moves to watch for: Kobe's double-pump, Van Horn's deceptive first step, Grant Hill's hesitation move, Marbury's drop pass, Duncan's lefty moves, and KG and Webber's baseline spins.

Considering where this is, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Moses' off the board 1 man tip drills to get himself into better position to go up and score.
Moses is one of my favorite players of all-time. Glad I was able to watch this incredible player perform hundreds of times at the Summit. Never took a play off and never gave up on a rebound. He developed a nice 10-12 foot jumper as well as his tip drills
