I give blood a few times a year and was trying to give blood today and they turned me down since I recently was travelling in Asia. I was thinking that it might've been since I was in Sri Lanka but apparently the Hong Kong area has been listed as a malaria area. This is first I've ever heard of this and I've been too Hong Kong several times and have given blood without problem. Have any of the Chinese or frequent travellers on CF.net heard of this before?
