I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but I just recently got engaged and looking for ideas on some nice honeymoon spots. Any suggestions?

Since you didn't give monetary restrictions, I'm gonna suggest Maui. You can't get any better than Paradise!

    Vatulele is better than Paradise.

(FYI: Any type of monetary limit will probably exclude this one)

Have you been? My wife and I wanted to go to Tahiti, but it was easier to get to Maui (we were married in Kauai, which is where my wife is from). I have a feeling that if I ever make it to Tahiti I won't want to come back.;)

My fiance's sister and her new husband went to the St. Lucia Sandals and said it was fantastic. All-inclusive, and not crappy, cheap all-inclusive, but 5-star premium all-inclusive.

While they were in St. Lucia they also stayed in some open air hotel on some mountain and said that was cool too.

What about the Bahamas or Australia? Just throwing out a few ideas. The Sandals sound nice....where are they located?

boomboom, my wife and I were married in Wainiha. Our daughter Kaialani was born at our house in Keapana valley near Kealia beach. My sentiments about Tahiti. I hope we're back in the islands before too long.

(trying not to steer the thread off-course too much)
My wife and I were married in Koloa and had our reception at the Outrigger just north of Lihue (I think it's called Lae nani Outrigger now although I think it used to be something else before Iniki...my wife danced there when she was younger). I really like Kauai and its small-town atmosphere and slower pace of life. Next to Maui, Kauai would be a great place to honeymoon...it's a quaint and romantic place.

Honeymoon? I love Scotland, but I'd opt for the Pacific.

Maui was nice, but a tropical storm blew in on us on Maui and it lasted the entire week.

    How about UBER-paradise: The Seychelles

Here again, if money is an issue then scratch this off your list. The flight alone will run you at least $1400 a person. But I insist that no place on earth is its equal -- everybody I've talked to that has been there (who had also been to Hawaii and/or the Caribbean) say nothing compares.

Try australia this place should be visited by everyone atleast once you would or will absolutely love it. Jamaica is also wonderful if you know what spot to select, just don't go to Kingston even briefly.

If you speak even rudimentary Spanish, I'd strongly recommend Quepos, Costa Rica. If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you suggestions on where to stay and things to do there. Most beautiful place I've ever been. Best adventuring, best relaxing, most romantic setting.

Definitely try going Down Under at least once, if not Australia is a great destination.
