I think it's very refreshing and another of many steps in the right direction from this administration. Of course it will be ignored by detractors, and basso will ignore when he starts his next thread trying to claim that Obama is the same as Bush even though whatever he posts won't back up that claim. We've seen it many times before.
I'm not a huge Obama fan but this sounds good. My biggest problem with this article is the fact the writer calls them Mr. Obama and Mr. Bush. They are presidents and should be addressed as such.
He should audit the last 8 years and reprint the actual deficit numbers. It will turn out that Bush is the true king of porkulus.
Damn, you are an optimist. Can Americans really handle the truth about our ruthless imperialism? The fraud of supply side economics? The maldistribution of wealth, and how they have been duped into thinking this is somehow beneficial, by think tanks funded by billionaire selfish folk who grind out conservative/libertarian talking points? Oh well, let's be happy for a bit more truth. It's been a great winter with a lot of sun and mild temperatures.
The NY Times never uses titles like Senator or President, always Mr., Ms. and Mrs. It's a consistent editorial standard throughout all of their articles.
Pretty much. According to the libs, we just got rid of the worst president, and barely a month into presidency, Obama is now considered the best president that will ever live. And they wonder why the right mock obama about being treated like the messiah. He's nowhere close to being honest Abe.
please point out evidence that liberals think that obama is the best president evver one month after his inauguration. tia.
We do wonder why, because what you just said isn't true. No liberals that I have seen have ever said Obama is the best President that ever lived. The reason why we wonder that Republicans accuse folks of calling him the messiah is because it makes no sense that they would misconstrue a simple comparison showing what Bush did and what Obama has changed to make it better as thinking he was the best president of all times. Instead of making little pet names which aren't really witty, or even on target, except to a few misinformed people, they would do better to address the issues. On this issue Obama is clearly following through with mantra of change. It is refreshing and welcome. It doesn't make him the best President ever. And nobody is claiming that it does. Instead Republicans are claiming that liberals are claiming that it does.
Excuse me folks for vomitting while witnessing this abomination lefty circle jerk.....and right smack dab in the middle is Franchise Blade!
Again is someone who hasn't said word one about the issue being discussed, but instead would rather deride others who disagrees. It's not a good way to argue, and that style lost you the election big time in '08
Gawd you libs are gullible. No wonder you voted for a sham. You guys are falling for the liberal media (NYT) attempt to divert attention from the bloated, hideous budget that Obama is putting together by framing the story as some sort of fake move towards more transparent accounting. The accounting angle is a cheap diversionary tactic -- I'm in no way surprised that it duped you all. With this standard of journalism, it's no wonder the New York Times is going broke...
