    I am sure, many of you have heard the rant about Santelli and homeowner bailouts for losers. It turns out that these losers are comprised of districts that are mostly republicans, not liberal havens.Here are the numbers from the Center for Responsible Lending.

    Here's a useful tool for predicting votes on H.R. 1106, the mortgage relief bill that the House will be voting on next week.

    Interesting, no?

    Here's the thing. I think that the votes will turn out to be totally counterintuitive here. I'm betting that the districts with the highest raw numbers of foreclosures are represented by Members most likely to vote against the bill.

    The top ten:

    Rank Member R/D District Foreclosures PVI Minority % Median $
    1 John Sullivan (R) OK-01 17,016 R+13 23.9 $38,610
    2 Connie Mack (R) FL-14 14,211 R+10 10.4 $40,187
    3 Gary Peters (D) MI-09 13,455 R+0 16.9 $52,510
    4 Dan Burton (R) IN-05 13,149 R+20 5.9 $52,800
    5 Tom Cole (R) OK-04 13,057 R+13 20.3 $35,510
    6 Trent Franks (R) AZ-02 12,547 R+9 14.5 $42,432
    7 Steve Buyer (R) IN-04 12,478 R+17 5.2 $45,947
    8 Mike Castle (R) DE-AL 12,457 D+7 27.5 $47,381
    9 Candice Miller (R) MI-10 11,863 R+4 5.1 $52,510
    10 John Linder (R) GA-07 11,119 R+18 14.8 $63,455

    Other districts with more than 10,000 projected foreclosures in 2009:

    Rank Member R/D District Foreclosures PVI Minority % Median $
    11 Doug Lamborn (R) CO-05 11,042 R+16 22.6 $45,454
    12 Dale Kildee (D) MI-05 10,964 D+12 23.3 $39,675
    13 John Adler (D) NJ-03 10,797 D+3 14.4 $44,282
    14 Rob Andrews (D) NJ-01 10,658 D+14 16.0 $47,473
    15 Carol Shea-Porter (D) NH-01 10,570 R+0 3.9 $50,135
    16 Dan Lungren (R) CA-03 10,460 R+7 20.9 $51,313
    17 Tom Rooney (R) FL-16 10,327 R+2 12.1 $39,408
    18 Gabrielle Giffords (D) AZ-08 10,237 R+1 26.1 $40,656
    19 Bill Posey (R) FL-15 10,162 R+4 15.2 $39,397
    20 Mike Rogers (R) MI-08 10,151 R+2 10.5 $52,510
    21 Henry Brown (R) SC-01 10,140 R+10 25.2 $40,713
    22 Paul Broun (R) GA-10 10,063 R+13 10.3 $42,037

    Here's something else to think about, since the Rick Santelli's of the world have been complaining about how the people who would be helped by this bill are so "irresponsible" and are really just a bunch of "losers."

    Looking at that spreadsheet, nine of the ten districts with the highest number of projected foreclosures are represented by Republicans. Only MI-09, represented by Gary Peters, currently has a Democrat in office.

    In fact, of the 22 districts with more than 10,000 foreclosures projected, only 6 are represented by Democrats (and only two -- Dale Kildee and Rob Andrews) have been in office for more than one full term, meaning that 20 out of the 22 districts have pretty much traditionally been Republican.

    Joe Knollenberg --> Gary Peters
    Jim Saxton --> John Adler
    Jeb Bradley --> Carol Shea-Porter
    Jim Kolbe --> Gabrielle Giffords

    Only one currently Republican district has recently had a Democrat in office, FL-16, which of course had nominal Demorat Tim Mahoney in office for the 110th Congress, but which now has Tim Rooney, and had Mark Foley for 12 years before that.

    Shall we go further down the list?

    Rank Member R/D District Foreclosures PVI Minority % Median $
    23 Joe Barton (R) TX-06 9,990 R+15 27.0 $44,857
    24 Thaddeus McCotter (R) MI-11 9,827 R+1 9.1 $59,177
    25 Mike Coffman (R) CO-06 9,748 R+10 12.3 $73,393
    26 John Tierney (D) MA-06 9,730 D+11 10.2 $70,858
    27 Sam Johnson (R) TX-03 9,691 R+17 28.3 $60,878
    28 Hank Johnson (D) GA-04 9,637 D+22 64.2 $49,307
    29 Frank Wolf (R) VA-10 9,636 R+5 19.4 $71,560
    30 Mary Fallin (R) OK-05 9,544 R+12 29.1 $33,893
    31 Bill Delahunt (D) MA-10 9,477 D+9 7.8 $51,928
    32 Ken Calvert (R) CA-44 9,446 R+6 48.7 $51,578
    33 Tom McClintock (R) CA-04 9,417 R+11 11.4 $49,387
    34 John Salazar (D) CO-03 9,288 R+6 25.4 $35,970
    35 Mark Souder (R) IN-03 9,259 R+16 10.6 $44,013
    36 Sander Levin (D) MI-12 9,138 D+13 17.4 $46,748
    37 Jared Polis (D) CO-02 9,115 D+8 21.1 $55,204
    38 Shelley Berkley (D) NV-01 9,102 D+9 34.1 $39,480
    39 Mary Bono Mack (R) CA-45 9,045 R+3 49.9 $40,468
    40 Donna Edwards (D) MD-04 9,087 D+30 72.4 $57,727
    41 Jerry Lewis (R) CA-41 9,003 R+9 36.5 $38,721

    Forty-one districts have 9,000+ projected foreclosures for the year. Fourteen are represented by Democrats. Twenty-seven of them (66%) are currently represented by Republicans. Discounting districts represented by first or early second term Democrats -- i.e., areas that were previously and traditionally Republican -- the number approaches 75%.

    Rick Santelli's "losers" may turn out to be the people who are supposedly his ideological fellow travelers.

    His faux rant was planned and republican Zack Christenson a producer of a right wing radio show by Milt Rosenberg, who had already registered the website for this back in August 2008.

    Why do you think he avoided Jon Stewart? That beating was supposed to be for Him, but instead Cramer was the one who became the piñata instead. You can’t argue against video evidence of you in your own words contradicting yourself in front of Millions of people. Even if you are good enough to spin what you meant at that moment, you will lose credibility from people who actually are knowledgeable and do their homework.

    The whole deal what Stewart was saying is that MSNBC was not reporting valuble news that should have been reporting. He did the same thing a few years ago on the show Crossfire basically same argument that these news station are more focus on trying to create enterning news for rating and are not investegating news showing the curption that is more valuble to its veiwers.

    AKA Rick Santelli !

    robbie380,

    The fact of the matter is, he was scheduled to go face to face with Stewart and chickened out. It seems like he avoids people that will challenge his position, but runs to shows like Rush Limbaugh because it's safe. I can respect a man like Cramer, who will face the music rather then a loud mouth coward like Santelli. It's easy to throw dirt with out having to answer questions, but why haven't you posted the video that supports your claim?

    What does political affiliation have to do with being ignorant and trying to live beyond your means?
