Very cool. I live near this guy, hes done a few things like this to give money away. (making it rain money where he drops bills from a rooftop... he also had one where he turns a cup of coffee into a cup of coins)... now I'm sure hes always thinking of ideas to get hundreds of thousands of hits on his YT videos but I genuinely believe he has a good heart and does this often for people. Now that his popularity is sky high and money is coming in, hes helping out the needy while continually steadying his business.
This whole charade was patronizing. Just be honest and give him the money outright rather than treating the guy like a child getting money from the tooth fairy. Also, lotteries are a tax on the poor/ignorant/desparate and shouldn't be encouraged.
You're right. On another level, I'm happy for that homeless guy even if 1k isn't much in most peoples grand scheme of things.
are they not free to decide if they buy lottery tickets? Freedom is extremely important and should be cherished in our society.
I just hopes he uses that money right. Gets some more clothes. And tries to look for a decent job. or something along those lines. I'm sure the guys video made more than a 1000 bucks it self so its nice to see him hand him the money even through a charade. Its respectable.
Who cares if the impetus was altruistic or self-serving? The end result was a touching, and possibly life-changing moment.
Look at TheRealist keeping it real because he knows everything and has life all figured out. I will do you one better. The video received 2.3 million hits. That means the most he could possibly generate was $2,300 off of ads. We know the cost of the video is at least $1,000 which is more than 99.9% of YT videos (even ones that have views in the millions). This means he came out with around $1,300 so far. Good call, man. Good call. This ploy made him super wealthy and we should call him out for it. He's a b*stard and he should stop getting YT hits the cheap way. People don't want to see these things.
I see nothing wrong here, he basically gave a homeless man 1000 bucks. So what if he made some money out of it, the most important thing here is that poor man got some money to get by for some time. If he didn't do anything the homeless guy wouldn't have gotten the money. Stop being shmucks and judging the guy for something none of you would have done.
Cant believe there is any criticism here... Glad the homeless guy got money...and very touching that he was so appreciative. I wish this would happen more often.
I'm sorry but I can't believe there are critics. That was an incredible act of kindness, and I'm incredibly happy to see a glimpse of pure, pure happiness over all the negativity we hear all day.n
That was a nice gesture, would have been better without having to post in on the net though. I'm just hoping thugs in that area don't see the video.
He is a YouTuber....he makes money off his videos, and that's why he is able to give out $1000. He does a lot of that kind of thing.
