Is it me or does it seem that the number of homeless growing faster than in the recent past? This question bases on driving along Westheimer and Richmond.

Squeegee men are out in full force earning a dollar the honest way unlike the lazy homeless panhandlers.
The blonde King's Quest villian who pulls a 20-hour shift on Westpark is homeless but some of those cats are young and able-bodied enough to just be working an angle. They should learn some cool sign tricks like that black guy on Kirby or Shepherd.
I've seen people with signs saying they have homes but need money for rent. Have these people really exhausted all of their options?
I'v been seeing a relatively young and decent looking foreign girl on Westheimer lately, wonder what her story is.

A few months back, I happened to see a very young lady (early- to mid-20s) around the West U area. She had a dog with her and many of the carboards signs she had were smartass jokes, kind of like the guy at Memorial Park with his "For My BMW fund". I mean...if you want to be a comedian be a comedian. But if you got the time and effort to come up with that **** and you are younger than me, 28, you need to reassess your situation. It cant be that bad. That dud has some serious skills. It takes good form, technique and practice to accomplish that, which can be parlayed into other things. But I feel bad for these people, I really do.
Meth is a hell of a drug. I've watched a homeless chick start working a corner about a year ago on my drive home from work that I initially thought looked halfway decent for a homeless chick. Now a year later she looks like Gozer the Gozerian from Ghostbusters.
THE one on westpark and richmond??, i pass by that light about 10 times a day ( work, school, and home), i have never gave her anything and she seems to never give up. every damn day.
I live in the still-gentrifying edge of the Heights. I was in the Med Center, spotted this lady panhandling that lives (maybe stays) in this shady house a block and a few houses down from me. I have a real hard time figuring out when a person really needs something or when I'm funding someone's habit.
Jesus, you ever seen First Blood? Small town cops and elected sheriffs don't play around with vagrants or anyone who gives them lip.
I didn't really elaborate on the what makes the house and the people that live there "shady." But that's the connection.
