    Can anyone recommend a good home theatre system??

    Don't mind paying more for better quality. Just curious to know what is a good deal in the market right now.

    I suggest you buy your components seperately.

    speakers - you'll get lots of opinions

    receiver - I've been happy with Pioneer

    Considering they probably run from $300 - $1000000000000000000000, you may want to give an idea of what you're looking for, what your budget is, type of things you'll be listening to or watching on it... are you looking for a TV, too? Are you just looking for speakers and receivers? DVD players? HTIB? Something bigger? Yada yada yada...

    That title is actually a bit misleading, I should have just said a surround sound system. But anyway, I'm looking for only a receiver and speaker set. Nothing too fancy. My budget is approximately around 500-1000 (don't really want to pay more then that for just speakers and a receiver).

    What are your devices you need to link? Do you have a blu-ray player? Is your sat/cable box HDMI? Do you have a PS3?
