    a friend
stated she had never heard of putting Meat Tenderizer
    on a bee Sting

I've seen people put the butter on burns

I've heard of that before for jellyfish stings as well, though I've never actually tried it. Just make sure you get unsalted meat tenderizer.

I don't know what it is about chicken soup, but it's soothing to me for a sore throat.

    This one works for hiccups...

Drink a glass of water with a knife in it, the blade pressed against your temple (the flat part, of course).

Also, white wine gets red wine stains off fabrics and carpet.

I found this one the other day when I had hiccups. put a tablespoon of sugar under your tongue and let it dissolve in your mouth. if the hiccups don't go away with in a few minutes then get a teaspoon of salt and put it under your tongue after you finish with the sugar. I think there may be actual science involved in it but who knows. I know it worked. I had to use the salt and the site said make sure you do sugar first and then salt.

i heard the same thing about gas and stains.

Butter does not help a burn, it is suppose to make it worse.

Nothing better than a nice can of coke to knock out a head ache.

I've done the butter on jellyfish but I was little and don't really remember if it worked...

To get rid of hiccups, I drink water while upside down...works for me...

I've never heard of the white wine on red wine stains, but will try it...

chicken soup when youre sick and crackers and Sprite when your stomach is upset...

for puffy eyes, ice cubes or cucumbers...

I swallow a teaspoon of sugar for hiccups and they usually go away instantaneously. Never heard of the under-the-tongue or the salt thing, and I'm skeptical. Especially since just swallowing sugar does such a great job.

The idea of putting butter on burns is to keep oxygen off the burn. Burn cream works better.

Edit: I thought you were supposed to pee on jellyfish stings.

To cure the hiccups, I breathe in, hold my breath, then stick my fingers in my ears (not letting any air through the passageway). It's worked every time I've tried it. And it doesn't take minutes. Like 15-25 seconds. Try it. I learned it from another clutchfans poster's wife.

I've heard about white wine taking out red wine stains, but I always forget to try it.
