Officials say a homeowner's young adult son shot and killed the suspects with an AR-15. A fourth suspect was brought into custody on burglary and murder complaints related to the incident. Three teens are dead after an alleged home invasion attempt reportedly ended in a shooting Monday. It happened near 91st and 241st East Avenue in the Wagoner County part of Broken Arrow. According to officials with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office, three masked people broke into the house through the back door with the intent of burglarizing the home. Officials say the homeowner's young adult son killed all three with an AR-15. Though they initially believed the son was 19, they now say he was 23. The homeowner was also home, but officials say he was not involved.
While my initial thoughts are they're probably just burglars that are just trying to steal their big screen television and that that's probably the cost of those three lives, I also think the homeowners were well within their rights to use deadly force. It's unfortunate the burglars placed such little value on themselves.
For some odd reason I was tempted to post only these words "...Takes one to know one..." I have no idea what it would have to do with the thread, or why I felt an impulse to post it.
Don't rob houses... While I'm sure there are other times it has happened, this is a first for me seeing a home invasion stopped by an AR-15. I suppose the fact that he managed to kill 3 people is suspicious, but they broke into the home and that is a powerful weapon, so probably nothing comes of that.
Sucks for all involved: three young men, bad life choices and all, are dead over a TV and some jewelry. Meanwhile, another young man gets to try and process the aftermath of taking three lives, justified/warranted or not.
Gotta get healthcare some how. Wonder if there's evidence of them running away. I mean if your not armed and the homeowner's shooting at you...
My AR wouldn't be the first thing that I would grab during a home invasion, but if you can neutralize the threat without letting stray bullets fly through windows and walls... Then who am I to say any different?
I don't know either why this is in DD. I'm sorta anti-guns I guess, but how is this up for a debate? Don't rob people and you won't get shot. Good riddance.
They could have used non guns to defend themselves they could have grabbed a baseball bat and gone Negan or they could have used swords or martial arts
