What's the best home insurance deal in the Richmond, TX area? My homebuilder is asking us to use their insurance, but it's way too much

My auto is with State Farm, but I've heard they are one of the most expensive

I'm sure you already know this but packing home and auto insurance can save you $200-$300 dollars off your policy. Maybe you should look around and change both home and auto insurers together. I have Allstate and pay little below a $1000 for home owners insurance alone although I have been with my company for over six years now and had auto insurance with them for two years before that. It is best to go into a insurance office and talk with them personally if possible at least I find. There are many variables as far as the type of coverage and the deductible you are willing to pay has a lot to do with the payment as well. Good luck.
