Here is a break down of the Rockets record by games against teams below .500 and those .500 and above. This is as of 01/16/2003 not what the opponent’s record was at the time we played them.

    .500 and up:
    11 – 8 for a .579 winning percentage
    Below .500:
    11 – 7 for a .611 winning percentage

I have also broken that down by home and away games.

    .500 and up:
    Away
    1 – 7 for a .125 winning percentage
    Home
    10 – 1 for a .909 winning percentage

    Below .500:
    Away
    5 – 3 for a .625 winning percentage
    Home
    6 – 4 for a .600 winning percentage

    My analysis:
I would like to see our away record against .500 and up teams improve a little bit.
I am very happy with our home record against .500 and up teams. We probably cannot keep that up for the whole year.
I am pretty happy with our away record against teams below .500.

    The point:
I do not understand how we are losing these games to bad teams at home when we beat the good teams so often. Are the fans not showing up, the players not ready, the coach not prepared?
