We are currently 10 games above .500 but if I didn't know any better with all these ridiculous knee jerk threads/posts after a loss and stupid Tmac for J.oneal or Kirk Hinrich rumors and players calling each other out and fans blaming things on RICK ADELMAN of all people? Come on! I'd think we were 10 games under .500 10 of the next 12 are at home and there ain't nothin like some good home cookin. We are 15-5 at home thus far. Out of these next 12 games 10 of those teams are bottom dwellers/ lottery bound. If we can be more consistent and build some momentum/chemistry I can honestly see us winning 11 in a row and having a HUGE SHOWDOWN against the CAVS at home on the 26th of Feb on National TV with huge championship indications. Remember this is going to be the huge payback game. "See you in Houston." -Yao. We will NOT lose that game. If things go according to planned that's a 12 game winning streak which is entirely possible. Not to get too far ahead of myself but continuing looking ahead we really do have a softer than hostess line of games coming up. I wouldn't be surprised if we continued that 12 game streak with another 8 wins and have another showdown with the Lakers. A 20 game winning streak and counting? Deja vu from last year? Call me crazy but it's entirely possible.... We've had a pretty tough schedule and injuries to boot. Players and fans alike have to realize this. Rick remains "cool" because he knows exactly what he's doing and he has no reason to panic. He's been a coach in this league (a great one if I may add) long enough to the point where he's seen/been through almost every situation/scenario. I think Rick has done an admirable job in the wake of adversity.
I get what your saying but it doesn't matter who we play now a days. The best team can be beaten at any given time. We lost to the Pacers, Raptors and the Knicks. Teams we shouldn't lose considering the players we have on this team. On paper this team will destroy everyone in the league but on the court its a different story
the way we played in nyc doesn't warrant any kind of wins. unless that changes, it won't matter if you cook at home or you eat in a restaurant.
I agree that 10 games over .500 is good, but unfortunately the high expectations of the fans, media, and hopefully players alike, alter this view. Everyone knows that injuries have taken a toll on this team and that our record would probably be better if not for them, but it's the games like NY, Indy, and Memphis that frustrate fans the most! I hope you are right and some home cooking will get these guys on the same page and get them playing better together!
Even a good team will have trouble winning 11 in a row. The Rockets are not a good team. I'd expect 6 or 7 out of 11.
Refs hate Yao everywhere. We just see it more often in the Toyota Center because he plays there more than anywhere else.
The problem is we expected too much from a soft center, a declining superstar, and one on one ron The highlight of this season has been the contribution of our role players, which is good to have given our notorious history of injury prone players
I agree the highlight thus far has been the role players and they deserve much credit for stepping up. However, the season is hardly over. When April/May and hopefully JUNE come I fully expect our "superstars" to step up in a major way.
Rockets will be better once Rick realizes that bringing TMac off the bench is better. Look at what the Spurs were able to accomplish with Ginobili.
you are way too optimistic! If we play like last night, no way to beat Cavs, not to mention 12 wining streak.
