In case u missed it! The Spurs just gored 102-78 in THEIR house! Wow!

    Including unofficial numbers from CBS:

Hornets shot 55%, and 7-18 beyond the arc.

    CP3 17 pts, 12 dimes. West 32 pts!

Outscored SA 60-35 in the second half! Incredible!

If you think Rocket fans are neurotic from what I hear the Spurs fans when things go bad are downright catatonic!

Hell, half their board may be attempting suicide over this debacle.

What an incredible performance by New Orleans!

hornets have an excellent team. chandler is an above average center, stojacvich is still reliable option. and of course theres chris paul. if everone can stay healthy and paul continues to improve, they are def championship contenders.

Oh I think they care albeit somewhat because, I don't remember the last time someone took the Spurs to the woodshed like that in SA. I mean that's what you call an ASS WHUPPIN'.

NO just in essence fired a shot over the bow to let the Spurs know that this division in case of delusional thinking, REALLY is no longer a cakewalk.

If Steve Nash could win back to back MVPs, shouldn't Chris Paul be getting serious MVP consideration at this point?

even with the season he's been having, i've been wondering just how much better chris paul would be if he were white.

wtf does this have to do with race??

from 1986 to 2004, all 18 MVPs were black.. yes, 18 in a row..

if I misunderstood your post/your post was sarcastic, I apologize and I admit that I am really bad at detecting sarcasm sometimes :) .. but if not, you have serious problems ..

Or Mo Pete who was still putting up the numbers until toronto decided to go through a youth movement couple of seasons ago.

hornets are just good from 1 to 5.

Steve Nash's team was winless without him IIRC in BOTH seasons.. he was out for a period of time and they won absolutely NOTHING!! (I could be wrong though, they might've won 1 or 2, I just don't remember, but all I know is they were horrible without him) .. Steve Nash IS Phoenix .. as a matter of fact, Steve Nash makes Phoenix players who they are.. Heck, Amare would be a scrub at best if he didn't have Nash.. dude has no post moves whatsoever, and he can't create his own shot.. he just feeds off Nash and the majority of his points are alley-oops/wide open dunks from Nash..

CP3 has a bunch of players around him and they all can create their shots.. the West guy is possibly the most underrated player in the league.. Pargo, Butler, and Bobby Jackson provide instant offense, and the Chandler guy is a monster on the boards..

HOWEVER, I still don't see them getting past the Spurs/Mavs/Suns/Utah/us come playoffs time..

All I know is the Rockets should've beaten NO without McGrady; that team didn't impress me much. Nash is much scarier to play against.

I think the era of the Spurs being one of the best teams in the NBA is over.

Agree, Chris Paul is just Bulldozing people out of the way like D Wade. I hope they are still at the top when the playoffs comes and meet B. Diddy in the first round. It will be another epic upset for the Golden State Warriors.

that's what we've been saying for the past 5 years..

    the result:

    multiple NBA championships..

lesson: never count out the Spurs based on weak regular season performance.. they have the ability to mysteriously turn it on in the playoffs and go on to the finals..

WOW. did you really just say that? last time I checked, they were the defending champs, and have won multiple over the last few years. moreover, they have a good core that isnt too old. and also, the spurs are notorious for not giving a dam until april.

I think this may be the biggest overreaction of 2008.
