This time to Puerto Rico. At this rate they may drop out of the quarters...

How can a team with Peja and Vlade be so bad?

I think that this tournament is showing us all how much talent there is in places like spain, puerto rico, brazil, argentina, and others. I've been really surprised by some of the players efforts.

the talk in yugoslavia is that they dont like their coach. my friend is in indy for the games, (im serbian) and he says they are all playing for themselves and arent playing as a unit, or cooperating with the coach or each other.

they play too selfishly to win. this blows :(

I seriously doubt the United States is going to lose game. And trust me, the rest of the world laughs at the United States when they lose in soccer or any other sport. It's ok to laugh at the U.S. when they lose in soccer (and they HAVE been laughed at), in fact entire stadiums have taunted the U.S. during soccer as has the fans (some on THIS board), but god forbid the United States talk trash in basketball?

This is waaaay off topic, so my apologies to Clutch and the rest, but I couldn't resist:

There is nothing wrong for a person to be proud of the country they are from, with very few historical exceptions and this is one of them. I can't believe there are people who can say now they are proud to be Serbian. After the disgusting genocide you guys attempted right in the middle of Europe, there has to be at least a 20-year period when you should keep low and quiet, and then after 20 years, apologize to the world. That's the way it worked out with the Germans. Take a clue if you don't want more of the guided missiles up your arse!

As far as "kosharka" is concerned, Vlade shouldn't have had his mouth run prematurely...

Yugoslavia has the same problem as the US. They put together an all star team that doesn't usually play together, and they are not talented enough to overcome it with pure athleticism as the US can.

Yeah the Americans did the same thing like the Germans on slavery and native Americans. Keep your head low for some years after national shame then claim your are proud of your country is the way to go.

On another note, I don't think Truth's words were that disrespectful. It seems he was merely being sarcastic to Divac who claimed to beat the US.

It's ok to be arrogant if you haven't lost in 50+ games. Plus Divac's is one of the cockiest players in the NBA. He was talking smack to the press throught out the playoffs even though he has never proved anything in the NBA. He also flops more than Karla. He's a prick and deserves to lose.

Kiss our American ass then. When you tell that ****ing Vlade to STF up we might think about it. I mean GIVE ME A STINKIN BREAK! WTF does Vlade think he is? That b*stard of a b**** would not be worth the dump I am about to take if there were any centers worth mentioning. That a-hole can talk trash as much as he wants. The fact is that he is not one of the best, but rather one of the better of a sorry bunch.

Yo Vlade, shut your Yugo ass up!
    DEATH TO VLADE!
    DEATH TO PEJA!
DEATH TO THE ENTIRE FREAKIN SACRAMENTO TEAM!
DEATH TO THEIR FREAKIN CRY BABY ASS FANS!

I believe that Peja, Vlade, and Radmanovic don't even start. Also, the coach is said to be extremely unhappy with Vlade's uneffective play. Maybe the international refs aren't buying his bs.

Except that Americans gave up 10 of 1000s lives to fight against other Americans who still wanted to continue with slavery. Did any Germans rise up and stop their country's brutal slaughter and enslavement of the Jews. No, we stopped them. Did the Serbians rise up against their own country to stop the slaughter of the muslims. No, we stopped them. And if the USA hadn't put the hurt into Japan, you Chinese people could very well still be their slaves.

On the Native Americans, I have nothing. We were brutal.:(

Well if China didn't kill one and half a million Japanese soldiers, there'll be a lot more American casualties. It's not like only Americans were fighting. About stopping Germany, it's actually Russia beat the crap out of Germany first and caused the downturn of Nazi. People fought together, don't hog all the credit.

And onto the slavery thing, yes Americans did die for freeing the slaves, but blacks didn't have human rights until one hundred years later.

I find the tone of this statement to be quite offensive...

Let's all let cooler heads prevail and refrain from going into this any further. I don't like the direction this seems to be heading towards...

I second that, there's no need to drag this thread into "country comparison" that type of thing. Can we just talk about Vlade and Yugo NT's, instead of their countries', suckiness?

And Chinese still don't have basic human rights. Well isn't that special.
