    (1) It's hard to argue with T(rade)M(ark) hitting 40+, but they sure looked sluggish out there at times. Coach was not happy.

    (2) Did ya hear the one about the complaining star and the aging African being sent to the setting sun, for -get this- another complaining star and an aging contract that will hurt rocket pockets for a long, long time?

Complaining star...Shawn Marion...was traded for an aging african SHAQ!
Anyone remember this? Hes telling the damn future! Now for the end of the riddle...does it mean we will trade for a huge contract as a knee jerk reaction to this trade?

1 out of 2 predictions is pretty good. He can't get both or we'd call him Cleo

I remember clearly the chaos that this post brought. But, many trades can fit the 2nd description. There are not few star players, there are so many aging African.

The stock market has taken a dip since then. It's not only a prediction on basketball, but the economy...and I'm sure the future of mankind.

    I AM A BELIEVER.

Future knee jerk reaction to the big trades going down..so we trade for a third scorer with a big contract...Kidd deal shot down..so nets trade with houston!! *crosses fingers*

I'm with you... that little statement kind of throws the whole prediction off for me... don't see how it hurts the rockets financially.

when I first read it I assumed the complaining star and the aging african was T-mac(star) and Deke(aging African-native)

nah. I still stand by my interpretation. He says THE complaining star and THE aging african. IF it was one person, he would've said the complaining and aging african star, don't you think?

He was clearly predicting a 2 for 2 trade.

    Hey Guys:

Out of touch for almost a year and a half, then out of country for several years, kept my hand in things in LA LA land and in southwest though - so not completely out of circulation - but no posts for a number of years - (no not in jail! heh, heh) but ...

    (1) Team WAS sluggish, as is expected this time of year, but some specific players did not please RA. Strong words exchanged.

    (2) Yeah, scarry poop on this. To be honest, from what I gather it is fairly close but not solid, a lot of "trade me/no trade me" phrases & clauses to fanangle the discussions. I don't know if I like this or not, but defintely would add some sparks to the new season.

Does this mean the devan geroge "no trade me, trade me" holding up the nets? Or maybe the houston "Should we trade or keep the team" thing goin around.

sorry.... seems like coincidence to me...

"rocket pockets" / "phoenix suns" have no connection
