How come everybody is forgetting this guy he's amazing come on he took ou to the final four. Rockets take him as pg move francis to the 2 and make a blockbuster trade with the cat and whoever sounds good to me what do ya'll think?
Yao steve sam cassell All ****in started as rookies i mean come on sam cassell and look what happened Think before you speak and just to let you know I could go on and on.
Yeah, Yao and Stevie were top 2 pics, Cassell took a while to start. There's a reason why injury-prone Hollis Price isn't being talked about.
ok so say you're right then Why not let moochie start and then when he get's it down then hollis comes in. Or you could go get a descent pg all we need is some defense and some one to get yao and steve the ball. I hate OU but I love the rockets and if he can become what i think he can then I'm all for it.
The only way Price is succesful is if they let him play sg. He has average pg skills, but could be an excellent 3 point specialist....probably the toughest player i've ever seen too, IMO.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasnt Kenny Smith still the starter when Sam was a rook? Anybody? I was like 10 but I think he was coming off the bench Any how. Price is an alright player, hes a nice backup. But as a starter I doubt he would have much sucess
I like the guy as a Steve Kerr type of sparkplug off the bench. However, he's not going to be a starter in the NBA. Kelvin Sampson is on record saying that Hollis cannot create his own shot. Also, his lack of size, and average playmaking/ballhandling skills will not cut it as an NBA PG. However, it would be nice to Rockets fans to bring a familiar face like a Hollis Price, Kendrick Perkins, or Ndudi Ebi.
Price is an undersized shooting guard who should not play the PG. People have argued that he may turn into an AI type guard, but we all know AI is unique; his mix of speed and creativeness cancel out the fact that he is MUCH shorter than everyone else in the league. The Rockets will just end up having two PGs in the Stevie "2-guard-turned-1" mold. Hollis Price can be a decent player, sure, but it's most likely that his size will negate his heart. He's also very injury-prone, and with the Rockets history...that's not a good sign.
Sam was the 3rd string PG for a while until a little after halfway his rookie year. He was behind Kenny and Scott Brooks. Price has little chance to do much in the NBA. He's like Juan Dixon, except smaller. He might be a decent backup over his career.
I wouldn't draft Price with the #44 but I sure would be on the phone 1 minute after the draft is over inviting him to camp. He might not make the team but he would certainly raise the bar for whoever is going to beat him out for a bench spot. They would know they are going to have to work hard cause Hollis will. Jeep
