Making my own ham glaze this year. There are recipes online all over but I figured I'd get some good info here...also could use some heating pointers.

I've got a smallish (15lb), bone-in, pre-cooked ham. Their directions say to heat it up for 20-25 min. / lb!?! I've always heard 15-18 min. / lb.

As for the glaze, I've got the typical ingredients (I think). Honey, brown sugar, mustard, dijon mustard, etc. Applying your own glaze I've read should be done 30mins before taking out of oven...but I've also heard you should "baste" it on frequently while heating.

    Thanks for any help.

Well, guess nobody on right now has any suggestions. My mother-in-law suggested I just kind of wing it with the glaze.

I'm using dark brown sugar, plenty of honey, bit of dijon mustard, bit of ketchup and BBQ sauce (heard of using these rarely used ingredients online)...

She said to mix to taste and just slather it on 30min before taking out of oven.
