I am as frustrated as any Rockets fan right now. It seems that there's no sense of direction either up or down, now or down the road. But can we at least wait til after the trade deadline and all the smoke to clear before making conclusions?

Technically, I'd say it's best to wait til the beginning of the next season. After all, not all moves can be made mid-season, as you can only do so much when teams are still competing. But I do believe this trade deadline would give at least a glimpse of the direction Morey/Les want to go. But it's almost impossible to speculate before then. Trades generally get made near or at the deadline, not a week before. Teams generally wait til the last second before pulling triggers for a variety of reasons.

I know I've personally been refreshing GARM constantly for a few days now to check for "breaking news". And I really hope Morey comes through one way or another. As much as I know some people bash the guy for treating players like "assets", this is the one season where I prefer his cut-throat approach over wait-and-see approach that some fans want him to be. Because we REALLY REALLY need change, one way or the other. Hopefully, he'll come through.

If not, then we can start b!tching about the management in all its fail.

I for one am just sick of hearing about all of these stupid rumors, its like a media frenzy just here on Clutchfans. Everyone is scouring the different media outlets (ESPN, Yahoo, Twitter) trying to be the first one to post the latest and greatest rumor about this guy coming or that guy going.

The trade deadline is next Thursday, NO ONE knows what our team will look like at this point not even DM himself. Can we please stop talking about all of the Melo's, the Grainger's, the NeNe's, etc.The next 6 days will be the longest 6 days of the season, but we can wait it out.

P.S. Yes I agree with you that this is frustrating and that we should wait it out before jumping on our management.

Great statement.... The moves between now and next year will define Morey as a GM.

    Ehhhhh. Sorry.

Wanted to post this in the "The all-encompassing Carmelo Anthony thread " thread. My PokerStars window popped up and I replied in the wrong thread.

if no changes happen this year, then it's a great time to save money by switching from cable tv to antenna tv.

Espn just reported that Carmelo Anthony just went number 1 after he went number 2 in the potty. Broussard reported on this earlier since he witnessed it first hand as he has been up Carmelo's ass for the past 72 hours.

Before I heard this mornings interview on 1560, I was ready to crush him if nothing happened by the deadline but listening to him be so honest about the franchise and understanding what is wrong, I'll cut him some serious slack. I think he feels somewhat trapped even with TMac's and Yao's deals off the table. I might just give him to the Summer to decide the path he wants to take the franchise before drawing my conclusion of what is going on.

At least we have the All-Star break to keep us semi-occupied. Hopefully the break won't turn into Melo/trade coverage for 3 days straight.
