Everyone hates something (if not someone). I hate being robbed of my freedoms in front of my face. I hate breathing chemtrail crap. I hate the headaches I get from food additives. I hate being threatened if I speak out. Sometimes I even hate myself for some of the things I’ve done. (Romans 7:9-17). I guess I better go turn myself in before I get arrested for hate crimes.

I'm against hate laws because I think most are frivolous...and useless, because a certain cynical part of me believes that at least a small portion of our human souls will always be dedicated to hate, regardless of law or doctrine. But this video reeks of smugness, of a defense against forces that simply aren't there, of the idea of a "White" America in siege that I find, as a minority, ludicrious.
Well, they're a fairly straightforward category of crimes; and you wouldn't want someone claiming an insanity or mob rule defense based on their bigotry, or utilizing hate crimes as a political tool: so it's probably not a bad thing that they're categorized. I just hope we can be fair and equitable about enforcing them, and I wouldn't mind seeing someone challenge the laws, just to see what the Supreme Court says about them. I guess if blacks are disproportionately affected by drug laws and the death penalty, then this just evens things out (kidding)?
