That's just it though. It is rigged so crappy players win and then invest real money and lose.

I am just trying to play better so i can beat my buddies at monthly get together. I joined them without any knowledge and came in 2nd three games in a row (still lost 5 bucks). So I figure if I just get a little better, I will clean their clock. :D

Don't waste your time online yet if you are trying to beat live people. Read a book or at least a blog like 2+2 on theory and strategy to get better. Also look into how to read your opponents tells. My guess is that if you came in second and won a whopping five dollars, anyone that has any skill at reading tells could come in and rape your little home game.

honestly, you're not gonna learn how to really play the game well with play money.

invest a bit of money so your decisions actually mean something.

Well, I am actually looking for more expierence, like the type of cards that will have, We don't play more than 10-20 bucks a month per person, so we are small potatoes. But I still want to clean their clocks.

If you really want to get better. Put like 10-25 dollars on to stars and just play lots of hands at micro-limits like 5cent/10cent no limit. You'll gain nothing playing for play money because the game plays vastly different from even the smallest real money stakes. Before and while you're doing that go to twoplustwo and read over the micro-no limit holdem forum. Lots of good stuff there. If you're even more interested i would recommend books like Getting Started in Holdem by Ed Miller. There are other books and study techniques that you would want do once you get more advanced knowledge but that's a good place to start.

I still have $50 in paradise poker that I can't use.

It's a pity that all losers claimed all sites are rigged and hack, however, they don't admit the fact that their skills is not good enough to break even.

I played poker almost three years, during the first two years, I always say that it's rigged after bad beat, however, I start to study and learn, and I'm a winning player, so it won't rigg against me.

What I would suggest to is to deposit and get the full bonus available at stars, you might want to do some search because other sites gives you free stuff for sign up.

I was joking... One of those complaints so common that it has become the stuff of legend, a joke within itself.

I don't think the software itself gives bad beats on purpose, (it just seems like that because of donkeys that chase crazy crap) but I do believe that unscrupulous people have hacked / collaborated on the money side of poker sites.

fulltilt.net is another site. I disagree with those who say playing for no money isn't worth it. You can literally see how thousands of hands play out in your chosen game, which is more than worth the time. You can watch and learn which hands regularly hold up and which you should fold, how to get the most out of your hand post flop or avoid taking a big loss with a medium strength hand etc. You don't need to lose money to learn those - among other - great lessons in poker.
