Is this show still on anywhere? I whiled away many an after school hour with the wily Col. Hogan and the vain, insecure Klink (Kelsey Grammer would be perfect in a re-make). But the ultimate is, of course, Sgt. Schultz. "I know no-thing! No-thing!"

I realized awhile ago that younger people could have no idea what I was referencing were I to repeat this justly famous line.

Here's a link to refresh yr. memory.

Anyone else remember the afternoon lineup?

I think it was cartoons - popeye, speed racer, underdog, then reruns - beaver, munsters, mayberry, gilligan! hogan, car 54, pt 409, rat patrol (sometimes) other things I can't remember for channel flipping.

I am still amused by the ridiculousness of the thing. Those cwazy nazi hijinx! The babes - va va va voom ! Was that a russian spy?

After seeing Auto Focus, I can no longer watch Hogan's Heroes.

I don't know if I should pity him or envy him.

Not what you want to hear, but get an HDTV and DirecTV. Mark Cuban has obtained the rights, and paid for HD transfers. It's pretty funny what "strings" are visible :) The "snow" was simply a coat of white paint, and the "tunnels" were sets filled with crumpled paper.

If you are curious, any shows originally created on film can be transferred to HD. Cuban has obtained rights to a couple more old programs, including vintage "Charlie's Angels." Farrah in HD!

    pt 409?

Are you thinking of McHale's Navy?

My Favorite Martian was probably in the encore rotation.

OK, at least there is ONE other person that I can say remembers the "Godzilla" cartoon.:) It was always something like a cruise ship is being attacked by a giant squid, or something, and Godzilla rises out of the ocean depths to battle the foe. Meanwhile, Godzuki is playing on the Ledo Deck of the ship.

I also remember Hong Kong Fooey. Again, at least someone else besides myself remembers it. How about that song, lets see....

    "...he's got style, GROOVY style...."

    ahh, memories.:D

OK... here's a wild one I remember but nobody else I know does...

    It was in 1976??

A real life show that had teen's drive around in a P.O.S. dune buggy....

and then they'd find trouble, and the buggy would turn into a classic metallic red/maroon sparklie dune buggy that would go get the bad guys.

A horrifically bad show, but then again, I was 5, and I thought it was cool,

Also, NOBODY remembers this show about this "battleship" in space cartoon.

I loved both of those cartoons.

But then again... I also liked:

COMA ESTA EN CARRASCOLENDAS, CARRASCOLENDAS, CARRASCOLENDAS!

    and also

VILLA ELLEGRA! La la la la la la la la la la la la la
VILLA ELLEGRA! La la la la la lal al la la la lal al

And how about Vegetable Soup! With those idiotic puppets trying to get that stupis teepee into space, or MR. NASTY!!!

And Finally, I was a HUGE geek of 3-2-1 Contact! Is the season. Is the moment,... When everything happens. Contact! Let's make Contact! 3-2-1 (Frog eats fly) CONTACT!

Same show... Whenever there's trouble, we're there on the double. We're the bloodhound gang. If you've got the time, we've got the crime, we're the bloodhound gang!

OK, time to stop nerding out.......for now!

    LOL:D

OK Fatty, now that you dropped the 'bloodhound gang' reference and refreshed my memory I think I'm going to go an old pair of Kangaroos shoes (with the zipper on the side), sip on a Capri Sun, read an Encyclopedia Brown book, then sit down to watch a very special episode of 'Degrassi Junior High'.

BTW, did anyone else think watching the Spiderman segment every day on 'The Electric Company' was cool? :)

    Gilligan Island...brings back old memories...
Precursors in reality TV(I'm talking about that show where they have to survive on that island)
What ever happened in the end? Were they rescued or did they eat each other after running out of food?!:D

In the South African version of Cartoon Network u get these shows all day long!It like being trapped in the 80's!
Tu ti tu ton...(Patheticly trying to do the Twilite Zone theme song)

One show I really regret is GI Joe!(For some strange reason u don't get it in Europe...)

GI Joe was one of my favorites as well. I found this a while back and I think it's time I posted it. As many of you know, there was a time when people were hunting for subliminal occult and or satanic messages in music and what not. Well, in one episode of GI Joe, they decided to make fun of it.

If you go to the bottom of the page I'm giving you guys a link to, you can hear Destro say an incantation the way it originally aired and then you can hear it backwards for a funny message.

    http://www.yojoe.com/cartoons/

I have a feeling some of you won't bother, so I'm gonna tell you what Destro says when you hear the clip backwards.

"Anybody listening to this backwards for a secret occult message is a real dweeb."
