    It is time to start Fahrting !

    The 2nd annual Austin Himmelfahrt has been announced, and the events planned.

    May 8th is the date, and the events are as followed.

    1. Golf
    2. Lunch
    3. Laser Tag
    4. Bowling
    5. Poker tournament and catered Salt Lick BBQ

    What is a Himmelfahrt you ask? It is a traditional day in Bavaria where the local men bring their home brew into the village for a GUYS ONLY day of feasting, drinking and games.

    We started this tradition last year and it is growing this year.....it is our version of the "He man, woman haters club"....just without the hate......

    A day dedicated to Guys, gluttony, and gambling......

    Life is good !

    Hanging out with friends, drinking beer, playing golf and poker is a bad thing?

    Himmelfahrt is a day of cheer and merriment, a day to relish in the lack of responsibility for the day.

    It is a WONDERFUL day...and all men should celebrate it if they are able.

    Maybe you just need mo balls !

    And there will surely be sausage.....from Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood, along with Habanero sauce....ooooh...baby !!! Time to grab the Nexium.

    Nah, it is all good, this is a fun thread, a day of celebration with your friends.

    Taking a day off of work with your buddies and spending it away from family and responsibilities, basically having a total dudes day, is darned good and something you look forward to when you reach my ancient wrinkly age.

    sweet, another excuse for grown men to skip work, get drunk, play golf, gamble and eat unhealthy food....as if there aren't enough of those days already on the calender.

    I don't golf, don't drink, don't gamble and I defintley do not drive to Austin for sausage.
