There is a very easy way to prevent anyone from being put into harm's way, that is for Saddam Hussein to disarm. And I have absolutely no belief that he will. I have to say that this is something I've followed for more than a decade. If he were serious about disarming, he would have been much more forthcoming. I ended up voting for the resolution after carefully reviewing the information, intelligence that I had available, talking with people whose opinions I trusted, tried to discount the political or other factors that I didn't believe should be in any way a part of this decision.

My only question is where will Hillary stand on the war after the primaries? Will she be back to rooting for war?

That is part of the reason why the "left" doesn't like Hilary Clinton or at least want her as President.

Add to that the fact that the Bush administration kept her from seeing all of the evidence and left out parts that would be unfavorable to their plans of invasion.

Hillary's stance on the war is that it's not her problem. When she demanded that it be over before she got the Presidency, she cemented that fact. She has no new ideas. If she's elected President, and we're still bogged down in Iraq, she'll play Nixon to Bush's Johnson.

I suggest you watch the McCain clip to see someone who has no new ideas.

And I'm sure Hillary is well aware that whoever wins the presidency next will have to clean up Jr's mess. The point she is making is that Jr got us into this mess; it's his responsibility to get us out. But of course he won't because he's already said so. She is right! It is the height of irresponsibility for him to leave it for the next president.

I did watch the clip, but it doesn't support your point. John McCain has plenty of ideas. They are bizarre, convoluted, and never work, but he's got plenty of ideas.

I have no problem with people who gave the president the authority to use force because in my mind the president needs that authority when negotiating with an enemy. However, I serious problems with how the president use that authority. From jumping the gun on the war, to disbanding the Iraqi army, to not having enough soldiers on the ground, to not have a plan on reconstruction, to barring the Bath party from being in the government, to not leveling with the american people how much the war would cost or how long we would be there.

Just because I let daughter use my car doesn't mean its ok for her to take it on a road trip to mexico and wreck it.
