is going to crash and burn.

I saw a "hit piece" last night on The Daily Show. Hillary had a bad joke wrt Bill being an "evil" man. The joke was not funny and the surrounding stump speech was uninspired.

It is like Hillary will need a complete personalty makeover just to go deep into the primaries. My bet is that it won't happen.

The joke was not about Bill. She said that her background equips her to deal with evil and bad men and in no way implied that she was talking about Billy Boy. I'm in no way a Hillary supporter but TDS, other reporters, and you are taking her out of context.

    You misunderestimate her.

She’s not my choice. But she’s got a lot of money and a lot of ground work set up.

But you’re right, there are a lot of TJs in the world that will do pretty much anything to bring her down.

I love the primaries. Everyone tries to go as left or right as they can, and then when the general election time coms around, pretends they didn't say any of those things and tries to get more moderate than the other.

I still can't believe she is running. Her motives have been so transparent for so long I can't believe she has the balls to do this.

Her feigned support for Kerry in 2004 was disgusting. You knew she was hoping he would lose.

McCain and Clinton need to go away.

That still leaves us with an uninspired stump speech, which was my main point.

BTW my wife told me the same thing. She thought Hillary stump speech was bloody awful.

What is her motive? that she wants to be president? what's wrong with that ad why would you not believe she has the audacity to run for prez?

So she didn't like Kerry, but she still supported him because they're in the same party. Do you have any idea how many other Democrats didn't like Kerry?

Yes, lets get rid of the two people in Congress who have actually shown a willingness to cross the party lines and work with the other side (regardless of their motives, at least they don't spew bile at the thought of working with the other party).

She's the best national politician in either primary race. She's got the brains, the savvy, the support, and most importantly the money to win the Presidency. I don't like her, and I think the entrenched dislike for her is pretty strong, but she's definitely a formidable candidate.

I'm talking about the fact that she moved to New York to be a Senator for one term just to have a platform to run for president.

Who said she didn't like Kerry? You think she didn't fully support him because she didnt like him personally? That's pretty naive...

No one said they had to leave congress...

The People of New York reelected her with like 70% of the votes, and trust me WE ALL knew she was not gonna finish her second term.

I didnt mean "like" as in "like someone personally", I meant as in "like him as a candidate"

I didn't say you did, I was referring to their work environment.

Who in the United States Senate does not do this, besides maybe John Cornyn ?

People from opposite sides of the ideological spectrum like Tom Coburn and Barak Obama have worked together in the past...

You act as if the Senate is like the House in terms of partisanship.

Do you think that part of that has to do with the fact that she's a woman? How many of us enjoy working for domineering woman (besides our wives).

    Doesn't matter

I read a report a few weeks ago that said no matter what the democrats say or do, they'll probably wind up with a sorry ass, safe, white guy as the nominee by a 60% margin.

    lame!

i still think it will be obama. or at least obama will be on the ticket.

and just because it's a white guy, doesn't mean it's the wrong guy.

hillary is exhibit "a" to me of why you don't vote for someone just because they're a woman.

If the Dems pick the safe, white-looking Hispanic guy (Richardson), they've got a chance of getting my vote. Especially if the Republicrats nominate McCain.
