... and that doesn't include the $5 million she loaned to her campaign. Sounds very presidential. Heh.

she's also spent like 4 million in consulting fees in january and even her donors are wondering what she is doing. can someone who can't manage the budget of her campaign manage the nations?

what she going to do to balance the budget? loan from her personal stash?

Okay, is this saying she is personally in debt? Can campaigns take out loans? who is she or the campaign in debt to?

edit: the link goes into detail. these are unpaid invoices. clinton's camp says that they don't pay invoices till they are reviewed which causes delays.

Her loaning her campaign money and running a debt isn't very rare, just look at McCain's campaign, Romney's and Kerry's in 2004. Campaign dept is often the norm for even winning campaigns. The problem is that the Obama pehenomenon has skewed the standards but his campaign is almost unique by historical standards.

Hillary Clinton has also smashed previous records for fundraising and her January 2008 fundraising would be a record if not for Obama. The argument that because she is running a debt or loaning money indicates she would make a bad president belies what is usually the norm and is only the case due to the unusual nature of this campaign.

Further I would add that if you are judging the amount of money raised by campaigns as being the standard to determine presidency then GW Bush should be one of our greatest presidents as he had raised more money than any other candidate when he came into office.

I don't think the problem is that she's spending money, but what she's spending it on. On one hand, they spent $25,000 for rooms at the *Bellagio* in the days leading up to the Nevada caucus. On the other, they had *zero* infrastructure in any post-Super Tuesday state and then weren't able to spend as much on advertising down the line.

They basically spent very unresponsibly because they thought they had virtually unlimited funds.
