This score was worse than when they met in football! These are Dallas-area schools. Well, Lake Highlands is in Richardson. Close enough.

    Summary:

-Lake Highlands plays Dallas Samuell in a District 9-5A baseball game. They won 57-0, setting a record for the most lopsided win in baseball in Texas history.

-Entering the game, Samuell had defeated a 4A team 18-7. Lake Highlands was 0-5.

-Lake Highlands had 44 hits- 38 singles, 5 doubles, and 1 triple.

-Once comfortably ahead, Lake Highlands pulled all their starters, and were ordered to go station-to-station. One base at a time. No stealing.

-Samuell had no hits, and two runners reached on errors.

-To have a game count as an official game, it had to last 5 innings (or until the end of the top half if the home team was ahead)

-According to the National Federation of Baseball, a game can be ended early if both coaches and the umpire agree to it. (Rule 4, Section 2, Article 4) Apparently, they were unaware of this provision too.

-Despite losing by such an incredible margin, all of Samuell's players reported to practice the next day.

-After this game, Samuell lost 11-1, then won 9-5 against another 4A school. They have yet to win a game since; their closest game was 8-2. Lake Highlands is 10-10 on the season.

-Games can now be called after 3 innings if the margin is 15 runs.

    -They meet again tomorrow night.

Yates High School of Baseball?

EDIT: Never mind. They're 10-10... not even close to Yates. Sorry I insulted you, Yates peeps.
