Yeah. McHale has to make Lillard's luck run out. Lillard got blown layups, stupid passes intercepted and got called for pushoffs. None of these thing happened in the Rocket series. Spurs must be thanking us for bearing the brunt of the Blazers' fluke luck.

Clearly if you just watch the Spurs play, then you'll be championship caliber.

    Signed,
    Mike Brown
    Brett Brown
    PJ Carlesimo
    Mike Budenholzer
    Jacque Vaugnhn

Disciples of Popovich and clearly the bestest, amazingest coaches in the world.

    give up, folks

McHale will never be Popovich and Rockets will never play with the same five guys for 2 decades. Not with Morey at helm.

I saw a midrange game. And set plays tt seem to have lots of Pnr. Oh yes and a better pg for the records sake. And a PF and off ball movement as well as defense. Just abt a retooling of our entire philosophy.

My basketball knowledge is limited: what I see is "team defense", lots of "Pick & roll" and very few hero iso balls. Hope all Rox players can learn from the Spurs during the off-season.

    Yeah, true.

    But, but....
    we have a superior centre.
    We have a superior SG.

And we also have the best SF :)

it is very obvious that lillard doesn't have D...in order to neutralize him, let him play D..but unfortunately, none of our PG made him play D...

During the Play Offs elite teams take to another level. Rox only have 1 gear in that regard.

16 layups, 9 midrange shots (6 from parker, 1 from duncan), 5 threes. "Moreyball" as you coin it, allows star players to take the shots they want to take, that's why they're stars, because they're good at things.

You saw a mid range game, but you specifically saw Tony Parker's mid range game, you didn't see a Spurs team that looks for mid range shots, only dumb teams look for mid range shots and the spurs aren't a dumb team.

Even during the game it was mentioned that an open shot has a 20% higher chance of going in than an uncontested shot, so they will always look for an uncontested shot, if that isn't analytics gone wild, i don't know what is.

What you see in San Antonio is years of experience at work, Mchale sucks, but the fundamental misunderstanding of what Morey wants is mind boggling.
