First of all...2 Players that take the game seriously and doesn't party hard before games.

1)Yao Ming.. doesn't party at all. Too afraid of what the media back home will say and more importantly afraid of his parents.

2)Steve Francis... may go out occasionally but, doesn't stay out late and don't go out before game day. He has truly matured as a player. I remember seeing him out with Cuttino all the time during his rookie year.

As for the rest of team...
Guys that I know have partied before game days...

    Cuttino
    Posey
    Griffin
    Cato
    Moochie

The 3 cities Rockets hate to party
1)Milwaukee...absolutely nothing to do there. No clubs, no strip clubs, nothing!
    2)Sacramento
    3)Clevland

Interesting thing I heard last night...

Obviously there are going to be changes next year with the roster. Posey is going to want a lot of money so the chances of him staying are slim. Griffin and Taylor will be trade bait but...it will be hard for teams to take them not because of salary, but for the fact they have been busted for mar1juana already. If they get caught again, that team who trades for them loses a player and can not replace him with another. So it will be tough to unload those two. Cato..he seems to be on the block every year with no taker.
Rockets coaching staff are a little nervous for their jobs. If Rudy goes, they know that their jobs are in jeopardy. Don't believe for a second Larry Smith will be named head coach if Rudy leaves. The locker room is definitely different without Rudy there.

I don't know what you were trying to say, but where is proof that Eddie Griffin had possession of mar1juana?

    Interesting tidbits there rich.

But that mar1juana part is bs. Not that they haven't been tokin, but even if a team trades for one of them and they get busted again, the worst they can be suspended for is 5 games. Like Mo, like Odom. There is no stiffer penalty for being busted for mar1juana, and I really doubt that scares off most gms if the player has talent.

    from whatever source he has.

The first 2 times you're busted the press don't get the info. It only becomes news the 3rd time when you're suspended for 5 games.

So it could be very well true, but I wouldn't know.

I beg to differ, if Odom is caught with any drug again he is suspended for a season if i recall. The NBA only allows you so many strikes in terms of drug violations. I don't know the exact details but I'm pretty sure after 4-5 times you are gone for a year.

not with mar1juana. somebody posted info about this before, I think it was heyp. only 5 game suspensions for that offense.

people were saying not to trade for Odom cuz if he was busted again he would be out for the year and that info was flat out false, but spread like wildfire.

RRNY....that's awesome. Thanks! Your scoops are always Rocket Rich!!!

Don't underestimate RRNY's scoops! But you didn't say which of those guys you saw (or heard about) partying Monday night. I guess that's left to our imagination.

    TexaSalsa...

CK is right. There is no multiple strike policy that leads to a year suspension. Not with mar1juana. You also cannot be kicked out of the league for mar1juana. There is nothing worse than a 5 game suspension, assuming they follow the "Medical Director" treatment plan. The MD does not have to release them if they are non-compliant with treatment, for instance, if they refuse "treatment." But the league is not allowed to give more than a 5-game suspension.

Newbies take RRNY's info for what it is, a scoop. You can believe him or not, but do you seriously expect him to come up with pictoral proof or something? Come on now. Only the legendary RockHead has done so.

All you Newbies have no idea and no appreciation for th history of legitimate (and non-legit) inside info on this board.

    Heypartner...

I will leave it up to your imagination on who partied the night before. I don't want to flat out call people out directly for obvious reasons.

As for the drug issues with Mo T. and Griffin, I was just repeating what my source told me in a casual conversation. I didn't ask specifics about what they were exactly busted for nor go into detail. Let's just say mar1juana was what was publicly announced this year and the possibilities for other substances was kept hush hush.

For all the newbies... go back and do a search to my posts over the years. I don't post a lot but I check this site everyday.

I don't claim to be correct with everything that is told to me but some of them did come true for example Barkley writing a book and Walt Williams with a Rap CD.

I never claim for my posts to be absolute truths but just report what I hear.

thanks, Rocket Rich. Info much appreciated.

I'm a little disappointed with some of the guys partying before games. But it's hard to go against the culture. I know I like to have fun, so I can't judge anyone else.
