I still think it's a possibility. Rasheed had said he's doing what's best for his family...so regardless that they won a championship, Sheed still want out for his family. WOuldn't it be awesome to have him pairing up with Yao then having McGrady coming in. THis will truely tranform this team into a championship team...just like the Wolves have tranformed their team last year. Anything is possible.

I like your optimism but I would say it is very unlikely. Sheed seemed the happiest he has ever been with that Piston team. They say he loves his teamates and loves his coach and I bet he's happy to be on a winning team. The Pistons like him as well and know that he was the final piece to their championship success, they are going to try very hard to keep him and I don't see the Pistons owner as one who would be cheap with the money especially after winning a championship.

Rasheed would have been our guy if he was still with the Blazers. Mobley and him are super friends from what I have heard, but Wallace falling in love with the whole Detroit system and team have taken any chance away from the Rockets recruiting him.

Now on the irony train, our recruiter of Rasheed, Mobley himself might get traded.

Before the trade of Wallace this lineup was a possibility:

    Yao
    Wallace
    Jackson
    Mobley
    Francis

Now we are looking at this lineup:
    Yao
    ? (Taylor)
    Jackson
    McGrady
    ? (?)

A lot of question marks in that second lineup.

    yao-declercq
    howard-spoon
    jj-boki-ag
    tmac
    fish-ollie

mo would be the next to get shipped out.

I'd say zero chance now. Pistons can give him the most money, he won a championship there, the fans love him, he fits right in .... would not be wise for either party at this point to part ways. Save a major money battle where the Pistons get cheap on him, I'd say he's a lock to be back in Detroit.

Theres no way Pistons will change their line up by choice, they are on a winner right now.

If Rasheed decides to leave the reigning NBA champion team and take less money to join us, his head needs to be examined. I don't know if we want a player that stupid on our team either.

Naw, Rasheed's just looking at the big picture and figuring with himself, T-Mac, and Yao that he would be primed to go after the next 7 championships. That crafty devil. Just call him Nostra-Sheed. ;)

Looking at the Pistons future, they have Okur and Darko is waiting in the wings. If we can't get Sheed, maybe one of their other parts could be pried away. Heck, maybe the Pistons end up keeping Okur and Darko and we can get Sheed for a draft pick and the TE.

The article on Espn.com yesterday made it sound like Sheed might not want to stay. No specific reasons were given. Like the previous poster said, if the Pistons are serious about developing and playing Okur and Darko, there may not be room for Wallace anyway. I'm not sure what they'd want in return, since they are respectable at all positions.

Chris Webber could also be had very easily. Sac would dump him in a second, but would anyone take him?

    SF + Cat + Cato for McGrady + Howard/Gooden
    Mo + TE for CWebb

    ???/Wilks
    TMac
    JJ/Boki
    CWebb
    Yao
