    Rafer thread! ;) :D

I think the lakers' weakness is their pg position. If Brooks and Lowry can play well, we can win at least a couple of games.

If you truly do remember the streak, you'll remember that they were playing without both Gasol and Bynum.

it was Battier's defense that frustrated Koby the most last year.

It took a career game from Rafer, 19 from out backup PG and the absence of Gasol and Bynum.

    I like your optimism, though!

Rockets were missing some key guys as well.. but the Lakers missing Gasol, Bynum, Ariza, Brown(all of them playing big minutes on this lakers team) and having a Lamar Odom that was sick isn't a legit win.

This isn't the same Lakers team... not even close.

They may have been missing some role players but they did have the best player on the planet.

He is generally the guy who beats us in the fourth quarter.

    And Battier shut him down...

Regardless of that, we still had an advantage in the injury department.

    We were missing Yao.

They were missing Bynum, Gasol, and Ariza.

We were pretty much playing the 2006 version of the Lakers who were first round fodder.

You can't compare that team to the current Laker squad.

Pfft. Ever heard of guys like Yao Ming, Ron Artest, Von Wafer or Kyle Lowry? Oh Ya, we they didn't play in that game.

    I hate your pessimism, though!

Both teams were completely different that game than they are today.
