I've noticed that in the last few games that the Rockets have shortened the rotation to about 7 players. I know coaches like to shorten the rotation for the play-offs,but the style of play we have to play minus Yao and and to be sucessfull is 48 minutes of in your face and contest every shot defense requires a lot of energy.Look at what the Spurs did sunday ,they played 11 players in the 1st half. They wore us down before the second half.Popovich used our strengh against us.And also shouldn't we be using Loren Woods now to get him familiar with his team mates. The few minutes that he has played he has scored easily and hit the 15 foot jumper with no problem. We already know that Luther and T-mac are going to go MIA in big games, give Mike Harris a chance to sink or swim during these last 9 games.During the streak the whole bench stood during the game.Is the reason they don't do that anymore because Mutambo plays now and is too tired to lead the pep squad or is the realization that the players know that they are not going get in the game the cause ? We won 22 in a row with all the players contributing ,even our suppose to be best 3-pt shooter on the team getting minutes.

I think that small rotation stuff is bogus. I agree with you that the Rockets have had some good success playing large rotations during the regular season.

On a team with a major piece missing due to injury I'd say having more weapons to throw at the other team is a plus.

I would like to see Harris get more minutes.

Bonzi Wells got a lot of minutes when Landry was playing a lot at the beginning of the win streak, why can't Harris?

I don't care if Harris can't shoot. Neither could Bonzi.

I'd like to see Novak playing. I know he can't do anything but shoot but I'd still like to give him minutes

Aaron also should see more minutes, we need that quick guards

Shooting is the problem - no matter who is in the lineup the % has to be in the high 40's for us to be successful w/o a dominate inside game.

It is all we have left.

I would like to see Adelman "rest" McGrady for a couple games, I don't care if we lose a game as a result. Remember how we originally gained our chemistry? Right, when T-mac went out in January and our team was forced to realize that it actually had other parts that could score, if we but moved the ball around. We were doing that after Yao went out, and it began to stop when Landry went out. We still won a couple games after that point because Rafer and Tracy were hot, but once they cooled down it was obvious that we had stopped playing team basketball by then and the results showed.

Maybe if we made Tracy ride the pine for 4-5 days to get completely our team would go back to our original recipe for success.

I think Novak, Harris, and Brooks could help us out with more PT.

Usually, when playoffs come near, most coaches build an 8man rotation. that's what is happening I guess.

Unless our PGs are having a foul trouble, we're not going to see Brooks in action.

I agree to one of theposters that Brooks is the only guard that is not afraid to drive besides tmac.

no, the ball hogging by TMAC and Rafer is the problem.

Yeah it has nothing to do with not having a certain 7'6" Chinese center. It's pretty simple, when you don't have an inside/post dominant player you become a perimeter team. So as you shooting % drops so does the chance of winning.

sure, we don't have yao, but there are somethings we can still improve can't we? we can't be whining everytime... we gotta fix some things, and their ball hogging, is destroying us, especially when their are shooting horribly. and not driving to the basket.

their are shots we should take and shots we shouldn't whether or not yao created them or not.

You'll care when that one game causes us to lose homecourt advantage or miss the playoffs entirely. This isn't a typical year - each of these last 9 games is vital...we can't afford to tank a game in an attempt to gain chemistry. We are 1.5 games out of first and we're sitting at 6th! Do you really think now is the time to bench our one remaining star in hope of jump starting the team again? Not to mention that if that did turn the team around, we would have to have other big concerns about the playoffs...

yeah, I mean he's only the team's assist leader who gets constant praise from his coaches about his court vision and how he finds the open man. Wow, such a selfish ballhog...

you know... he could become a j-kid... and right now, if he keeps taking 20+ shot, but not make at least 30 percent, we might as well have a j-kid, who doesn't shoot at all and passes alot more. i'm just saying. ;)
