    Houston Trades:
    SG Cuttino Mobley
    PF Eddie Griffin
    SF Bostjan Nachbar
    PG Moochie Norris

    Houston Receives:
    SG Derek Anderson
    PF Zach Randolph
    PG Jeff McInnis

I don't really think Portland would do this trade, but it's possible. The way I see it

    Anderson = Mobley
    Randolph > Griffin
    McInnis > Moochie
    (nothing) < Nacbar

With this trade our lineup would look like this:

    PG: Francis, McInnis
    SG: Anderson, Francis
    SF: Posey, Morris
    PF: Randolph, Taylor
    C: Yao, Cato

Looks like at least a slight improvement to me. Thoughts?

    lol......crappy...

Mobley is actually better than Derek Anderson.
But Derek Anderson is a better fit for the Rockets. I like him...but maybe Larry or Jeff or Mike admire Cuttino and want him.
Griffin and Randolph. Well Randolph is better...
McInnis is a much better backup than Moochie.
Nachbar.....well he's unknown but all our young guys would be gone.

I guess it's an OK trade.

Just never gonna happen....like most of the other trades proposed by everyone on the world wide web.

    I like Randolph though.

Ehh, it's ok for us, but why would portland do it? Bonzi and Cat and Damon and Moochie in the same backcourt sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.

Like I said in my original post "I don't really think Portland would do this trade, but it's possible."

On the Moochie thing, I kinda get this feeling that all the other teams in the league don't realize how much Moochie sucks. When he came off the bench in Sacramento the local announcers were jabbering about how he was a big offensive threat. Give Moochie a little more credit than he deserves and I don't think this trade is impossible.

Anyway, a guy can dream, can't he? Like the title says "far-fetched..." I'm not in denial here. ;)

Seriously!? That's great! :D See, I was right. Moochie has a severe case of overrated-by-everyone syndrome.

    Here's my crappy trade idea:

Three trade deal w/ Detroit & NJ.

    Houston gets:

    Jason Kidd
    Rip Hamilton
Detroit's first this year (2nd overall)

    Detroit gets:

    Steve Francis
    Dikembe Mutumbo
    Mo Taylor

    NJ gets:

    Cuttino Mobley
    Chauncey Billups
    Kelvin Cato
    Houston's first next year (protected)

    Darn. If I was Houston......YES!!!!!!!!!

If I were Detroit.........no........remember..they still got that DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AND 2nd best center.......Ben Wallace.

New Jersey.....it's OK for NJ. But not really that great for them.....

Not crappy, just far-fetched. I would do it in a heartbeat. :)

McInnis is solid, but has butted heads with his coaches before. Not a good locker room presence. But at least he can play, which is more than you can say about Moochie based on how he played last year.

It could be argued at Anderson is better than Mobley. Hard to compare... they both play SG and are athetic but have different styles. Anderson is a smooth, slasher who I think scores better in the flow of any offense. Mobley is an unstoppable, combustible scorer who can get a shot off of anyone. Both are streaky and prone to inconsistency, though I'll give the edge to Anderson only b/c he is a better individual defender than the Cat. Long arms.

Randolph is a huge > over Griffin. Dude has dominated every summer league he's played in, killed the Mavs in the playoffs, and he came out after his freshman year too, just like Eddie. I don't think Griffin will ever be half the low post presence that Randolph is already. But give Griffin props for his shot blocking.

And I'll offer that based on last year's performance,

    (nothing) <= Boki

j/k! he's still young, plenty of time. But on a serious note:

(nothing) >= Tito Maddox and his horrible dribbling skills
(nothing) > 2 Jason Collier and 1 Dan Langhi

SLA, would Detroit do it if we threw in Eddie Griffin as well, or instead of Deke?

As for NJ, I think anything they got would be gravy. Afterall, Kidd could opt to just sign outright (altho for less) w/his team of choice.

A sign and trade would be to NJ's benefit. And Cat, Billups, Cato & a future first rounder is nothing to sneeze at.

Other teams have received less for their S&T's.
