Marc Jackson signs with Orlando, Webber signs with the Spurs. DRob, AD, and Raef all want to walk.

    What do we do?

Yes. I can see clearly, now.

    Any other suggestions?

Sign David Robinson. Antonio Davis is vastly overrated, a horrible guy as far as FG % goes.

LaFrentz is overrated too. Robinson would be the best fit on the Rockets and may sign a cap friendly deal (5-6 MIL a year) to spite the Spurs who are really screwing him over in contract negotiations.

Robinson at $5-7 a MIL or Antonio Davis at the Max is a relatively easy decision if you ask me.

I'd tend to agree. When I heard about a disgruntled Admiral talking to Rox mgt I nearly peed... Well you get the picture. I like the DRob scenario. Alot.

AD is too pricey. Raef would fit well, tho, especially with his range and the new zone...

I'm not worried about Davis' field goal percentage because he stepped it up to 50% from the field in the playoffs. Antonio Davis definitely is worth getting, as long as it isn't to much, because our options are limited. We're not going to get David Robinson for 5 to 7 million dollars. If he isn't taking 7.5 million dollars from San Antonio, why would he take less from us!?

Da Admiral is my choice. This allows us to trade Cato to anyone who will take a first round pick w/ him.

    Take my Cato, please....

That doesn't make sense. You're saying that David will take a paycut to sign with us, but have AD at his demands? David wants 10 mil a year if he signs with us and AD wants the max. So would you rather have David at 10 mil or AD at the max? So the yearly salary is about the same. AD is 3 years younger and not as soft as David, but David is a much better defender. It's a toss up IMO.

Davis would cost too much money, IMO, for a 33 year old. LaFrentz would require a trade we might not be willing to make. Robinson would be similar to signing Olajuwon for a couple of seasons. That would seem to have the least impact in terms of cap space, but we'd still be right back where we are today in two years.

If given the three choices, I'd take Robinson. It's like a step sideways rather than back, but the others are too risky.
