Showing that they just don't know when to quit (in the offseason, anyway ;) ), the Golden State Warriors are taking another run up the hill of "We're going to work extra hard this summer so we don't take it in the shorts so badly next year."

They're holding a voluntary mini-camp this week in Oakland, and on the first day, 11 of the 12 players under contract showed up (More than half have been working out almost daily in the practice facility anyway.)

Showing his love of motivational gimmicks, new coach Eric Musselman gave every player a T-shirt to wear with the following slogan to prepare them for a better mindset going into the new season:

Meanwhile, jaded Warriors fans wasted no time in revising the concept:

... and yes, you can buy one!

About 2700 more per game than what the Rockets averaged, unfortunately...

true. but houstonians didn't show up because they aren't used to sucking. gsw fans show up because they ARE used to sucking!

If I tell you that the answer to your first question is Danny Fortson ... does that answer your second question? :)

I'm not sure why all you folks think it's stupid to go to a GSW game. I'm in San Francisco, and since I can't see the Rocks that often, I was truly lucky last year to watch Larry Hughes turn the ball over from every possible spot on the floor *and* shoot a brick from every single spot on the floor. Amazing -- and that was just one game! I haven't even mentioned watching Adonal Foyle's elegance in the post!

Aaaaaarrrrrgh! I have to drive to Excremento to see any bball!

Eric Musselman will be considered a genius if the Warriors end up sucking less ... :)

Swopa, I did not mean to offend. I thought this was comiserating. So are you an Adonal fan? Or do you live in Excremento, I mean Sacramento? Anyway, I will still go see the Warriors, especially when the Rocks come through.

Who do the Warriors have on their team, ummmmm.......

PG - Gil Arenas, Mookie Blaylock, Steve Logan, Dean Oliver
SG - Jason Richardson, Jiri Welsch, Bobby Sura
SF - Mike Dunleavy Jr., Chris Mills, Cedric Henderson
PF - Antawn Jamison, Danny Fortson, Troy Murphy
C - Erick Dampier, Adonal Foyle, Dean Garrett

    ...yep, still gonna suck!

Jiri Welsch plays PG and will start. GS will trade DF and another for a better center. GS will do alright next year and do much better than that the year after. Then they will somehow miraculously lose/trade JRich and JR. and will go back to sucking mightily.

The Great Grouper divines it so....

    BTW awesome shirt Swopa.

Doesn't Swopa start every season with a "watch out, here come the Warriors" thread? You think he'd learn or at least switch allegiances to a team that actually has a future. :)

I still respect his bad team homerism way more than the bandwagon fans. Keep reaching for that rainbow, Swopa! ;)

Swopa is still trying to figure out what Swopa is.

P.S. to LeGrouper: I can't take credit for the shirt. That was the brainchild of Del, the webmaster of www.warriorsworld.net.
