Help!! I burned some video onto a CD at my home computer. The format is S-VCD. This will play on my home computer ( of coarse ) and on home DVD players. Just pop it in and it plays. I brought the disk to work and can't get it to go for anything. I have a CD burner on my work computer. Anyone know what software should work? I have tried Realplayer & Windows Media player. The disk does not autostart so I have been trying to play the large MPG file on the S-VCD ( 500 meg ). Thanks, Rookie
Some DVD players simply won't play SVCD regardless of the software. Netiher of my stand alone DVD players will play them, although my computer will using either Cineplayer, Win DVD or WMP.
The cd will not autostart. What you can try is... put the cd in.. go into my computer.. right click on the cd burner drive and go to open. right click on the folder that says mpegave1(or sumthing similar, cant rememeber exactly.) right click that one file, and go to open with>>>windows media player.. then is should start playing..If it gives u some type of error then maybe you need to download a svcd codec or player. I use elecard mpeg player at home and it plays svcd fine.Hope that helps you. I know a trick svcd header trick that you can try,to get your dvd player to play svcds.Tell me if your interested, and i can explain further.
Since he sort-of asked already, what programs would you guys recommend for burning s-vcds? I've been planning to burn some for a while, but I don't really know which program to downlo -er, buy...
