Here is some of my favorites, Jawbreaker: Kiss the Bottle Bad Religion: Generator Saves The Day: Ups and Downs Alkaline Trio: Hell Yes Strung Out: Matchbook Jawbreaker: I love you so much it's killing us both The Get Up Kids: Holiday Death by Stereo: The Plague
Sounds like you're going for an upbeat, happy feel to your CD in which case I would recommend: When I'm Up -- Great Big Sea Scatman's World -- Scatman John Beat It -- Michael Jackson Bring It All Back -- S Club 7 Rock Me Amadeus -- Falco Larger Than Life -- Backstreet Boys Go Your Own Way -- Fleetwood Mac I Want You Back -- N'Sync Pray -- MC Hammer Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood -- Santa Esmerelda
Me and a friend made a "happy" tape just like this one back in high school. Just a bunch of songs to listen to when you're already happy, but want to ramp it up a notch. Celebration - Kool and the Gang Get Out of my Dreams, Get into my Car - Billy Ocean Jump (for my love) - Pointer Sisters Bodyguard - Paul Simon Oh What a night - The Four Seasons We Built this City - Jefferson Starship Take on Me - A-Ha Take me home tonight - Eddie Money Footloose - Kenny Loggins Rhythm of the Night - Debarge Wake me up before you go-go - Wham! My Angel is the Centerfold - J. Geils Band Freeze Frame - J. Geils Band Everybody have fun tonight - Wang Chung Love Shack - The B-52's You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet - Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Rockets Fan, that is a good "happy tape". Only "Take on Me" is a song where I would have thought it is a bit more on the melancholic side. But the other songs are almost all high-energy 80's music.
Alaline Trio for sure. Thats like 40% of my mp3 player right there! cooking wine cringe clavicle good f@*cking bye weve had enough all on black Pretty much all their stuff is pure money.
I forgot about my own "Joy of Music Mix": 1. Chris Thile - Song for a Young Queen 2. Beulah - A Good Man is Easy to Kill 3. Beach Boys - Sloop John B 4. Belle & Sebastian - Step Into My Office, Baby 5. Bob Dylan - Honey Just Allow Me One More Chance 6. Chet Atkins - Waltzing Matilda 7. James Taylor - Mexico 8. Joni Mitchell - Raised on Robbery 9. Kinks - Animal Farm 10. Lovin' Spoonful - Daydream 11. New Pornographers - Mass Romantic 12. Nickel Creek - Smoothie Song 13. Sondre Lerche - Modern Nature 14. Stevie Wonder - Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing (ESSENTIAL) 15. Zombies - Care of Cell 44 16. Beatles - I Feel Fine 17. Coldplay - Yellow 18. Mason Williams - Classical Gas 19. Badly Drawn Boy - It Came From the Ground All are musically happy as hell, though the lyrics in some cases are pretty depressing.
