I dont know what happened to my laptop a few days ago. But now everytime I open an old Excel file or try to work in a new one I have one problem.

Every freakin time I click on a freakin cell, the cursor locks or something and everything gets highlighted as I move my mouse around. I can't type anything or get away from that locked cell. Then I have to close that file.

    Somebody help me! :(

Weird. Wish I could help, but I have no clue. I trust your mouse button isn't sticky or anything.

    Good luck.

It only happens in excel and not any other programs. So I doubt its the mouse.

It sounds like your shift key is "stuck". When this happens, try hitting Shift + Ctrl, that should kill the problem.
