So.......one of my wiimotes does not work right now. When playing wii sports, the wii doesn't pick up any movement form one remote. The cursor works fine, but in tennis, for example, I can't swing. In boxing I can only punch with the left hand (using the nunchuck)! Like I said, the cursor and all the buttons work fine, but and time movement is required the wiimote won't work. My other controller works fine. I tried re-syncing, re adjusting the sensor bar settings, reset the wii....none of this works! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a similar note, don't play Wario Ware: Smooth Moves without the wrist strap secured around your wrist. There's one part in the game in which you literally have to drop the remote...
Ok sweet, I got it fixed. I called Nintendo and they said that there is an accelerometer in the remote that sometimes stick. Literally the agent told me to hold the wiimote in my right hand with the buttons facing my left palm, then smack it against my palm! Worked like a charm, good as new. He said the accelerometer is a thin film with magnets or something and that it sometimes sticks. On a side note, I was very impressed with their customer service. I was on hold for like 30 seconds and the dude was very helpful. Also ordered 4 new replacemet straps. Another tidbit, he told me to make sure and register my wii online, you get a 3 month extension to the standard 12 month warranty that comes with the system.
