This problem was mentioned a while back I think, but I don't think anyone had a solution. Ok here is the scenario. When I am listening to a song on the computer and I try to open up another program (internet explorer for example), the song slows down. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?
You can disable your programs running in the background in msconfig. Go to start>Run>type in Msconfig Click on startup and disable all the unnessary programs in there.
What Operating System. If you are using Windows XP or 2000 then you need more RAM. Buy 128 or 256 more, memory is cheap right now.
Candy, Your processor speed seems adequate, but I would look to upgrade your RAM. RAM is cheap and easy to install. You can triple what you have now, up to 512K, for about $50 if your computer will support it.
Ok...thanks guys...I will check into it this afternoon. I knew I could count on ya'lls suggestions. I hope one of these two things work out.
i got a computer problem. my computer froze and i restarted and now I can't start windows XP. An prompt comes up when i turn my computer on and tells me a some software or hardware change caused an error and gives me an options of normal boot or safe mode. If i choose either mode the computer continues booting but takes me back to that same prompt. any suggestions?
