So I was trying to show some buddies 2 girls 1 cup and some spyware/trojan got onto my computer. A pop-up shows up every time I click on a link that says a trojan has been installed and I need to click OK to get rid of it, I keep closing it but it keeps popping up.

My Norton 360 can find it. Any other way I can get rid of it?

Damnit. When I try to Google or Yahoo the search for spybot or adaware, the trojan hijacks the results and won't let me get to the link.

Can someone please provide me a direct link? Thanks.

If you're using IE, try going into Internet Options, then advanced tab, then uncheck the box that says "enable third-party browser extensions." This wouldn't remove the bug itself, but it may stop it from operating.

Next, install Spybot (hopefully you have it already), and make sure you're in advanced mode (in the "Mode" menu next to the "File" menu). In the left pane click "Tools," then click "BHOs."

Excluding the ones with green checkmarks, are there any BHOs with odd-looking filenames that are located in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32?

    1) delete all cookies, Temp internet files, and history from IE.

    2) Open System 32 in your Windows folder. Click on the date tab and see what recent files have been added today. Delete those. If you can't because it says "program in use" open task manager and end process of corresponding fille. Then delete.

    3) Delete everyting in Prefetch file also.

Hopefully this will help you look for info on the net. I use Hijack this when I get a trojan.

PS. Let this be a lesson to you. Nothing good can come of viewing p*rn alone on a sunday afternoon.

There's only like 5 on the list, the unchecked ones are for Symantec, Spybot, and there's one for SSV Helper Class/Java.

    1, Click My computer
    2, Click Local Disk (c)
    3, click Windows folder
4, Scroll down to find System 32 folder

    5) Once there hit Date Modified tab so that it reads 3/5/2008.

Look at each file using Right click and propeties. Delete the ones created today.
