It keeps on flashing to a black screen, but the sound remains. Sometimes it flickers, and when I hit it it stops. Sometimes when I hit it, it goes black. It's been going black screen much more often as of late, and pretty much every time I push power on. So basically, I can't watch it any more.

Does anyone know what I should do? And if I have to take it somewhere, how much should it cost to be repaired?

Considering the costs I've seen to repair TVs, you might well be better off just buying a new TV, especially if the problem is your picture tube which can be very expensive to replace.

I take it this isn't a big screen so mrpaige is probably right. If it is a big screen have someone take a look.
