    yes that definitely works

but other wise once you have it cleaned out... get a popup blocker... i find that a lot of adwares get installed when stuff pops up... if you block popups... then there's no problem in the first place.

Use a combo of Ad-aware (does a deep scan) and Spybot (quick scan).

Adaware + Spybot ,a nd if you use Ineternet Explorer also run Hijack This.

Be sure that you "immunize" your pc when you run Spybot.

I along with everybody else who uses my computer now uses Firefox. I only use IE if I have to, there are some things that require it still. Firefox has worked great for me.

Also, what exactly does immunizing your PC do when you select that option on Spybot?

It keeps known spyware from installing itself. If you don't immunize, you just go through a constatnt cycle of the crap installing itself then removing it. Immunizing keeps it from getting on in the first place.

I can't stress using Hijack This enough if you use IE. Everyone suggests Adawarte and Spybot, but forgets about this software. So many IE users have problems with their browser being "hijacked", which is where it changes your home page and alays takes you to sites you weren't trying to get to. Adaware and Spybot can't fix this, but Hijack This can.
