Okay...here's the deal: After a an ill-advised move to Tel Aviv and a career change (dot coms to writing and music) I am playing my first show this Sunday. I always hated my last name and have been going using the name "Cadillac Zach" (Zach being my real first name) but a google search found a rapper in Mississippi by the same name (he spells it "Zack"). http://www.cdbaby.com/found?allsearch=zany+zack I play old rock and country (think early Stones, Johnny Cash, lyrically a little Lou Reed-ish, Bo Diddley). Old school 3 chord rock. The idea was a tip of the hat to Hank Williams (who died in the back of a Cadillac) and a homeless soul singer named Shoeshine Eddie I knew in LA who coached me (he rehabbed and I bought him a ticket home to Ohio, and he sings gospel now). So...what do I do now? Should I keep the name, or find something else that rhymes with Zach. I don't think Black Jack Zach or Feedback Zach or Black Cat Zach sound nearly as cool... Any ideas?
"Big Z" was a childhood nickname that I considered, but the literal translation into Hebrew (Zayin Gadol) is slang for "big dick." If I wanted a p*rn nickname, I'd probably just go with this one.
You could take your username and go by Zach Deji. Or you could just use the first letter of your username and be Zach D. I'm 100% sure that no artist or even a member of this board has a similar name....... You could drop the 'h' and make it "Zac D" and it would be totally original...........
