I enjoy drinks but never really knew much about it. I'm trying to learn more and also make sure I have the right alcohol that I can provide options for guests at my house.

    Currently I have:

    Grey Goose Vodka
    Smirnoff Vodka
    Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey
    Crown Royal Reserve Canadian Whiskey
    Glenfiddich 15-year Scotch Whiskey
    Martell Cognac
    Remy Martin Cognac
    Patron Silver Tequila
    Captain Morgan Private Stock Rum
    Grand Marnier
    Kahlua Mocha
    Bailey's Irish Cream

    Ones I'm thinking of getting:

    Johnny Walker Black Whiskey
    Bombay Sapphire Gin
    Bacardi Rum
    Maker's Mark Bourbon
    Simple Syrup
    Tonic Water
    Club Soda

Any others I need to fill it out properly?

Definitely get the Johnny Walker Black Label and also Marker's Mark. Can't go wrong with either.

Buy big bottles or the expensive or popular ones for display.

Buy the cheap **** to feed to friends and family.

Hehe. I don't have a ton of parties of most of the big ones are beer parties. It's the smaller dinner parties that we would drink liquor and I don't mind people drinking up the liquor.

I have nothing to add for brands, but before you buy check slickdeals.net hot deals forum for deals on what you're looking for. You'd be surprised at the amount of booze you can get cheap online.

I'm not familiar with these? Are they common? Used in mixes?

Got some good liquors thus far. Maybe add Wild Turkey American Honey, which is amazing. Also, some liqueurs for the ladies or sitting around the pool/hot tub. I'd suggest trying Rumchata.

That's already past my point of overkill.

I just usually keep the following:

    Tito's
    Cuervo Silver
    Sailor Jerry
    Khaluah
    Tanqueray
    And maybe some Cointreau

Simple and effective to make a lot of different drinks, won't break the bank either.

No, I don't... yet. I'm trying to test more liquors. But even the ones I don't particular like will be there for the sake of having a complete liquor cabinet for guests.

Tequila - Get 4 Copas Reposado for special occasions. Also get Cazadores Reposado for everyday drinking. It's good stuff.
