Has anyone ever tried to fix the screen on a nano? I'm hoping to find a way to get it fixed before I dish out another $200 to get it replaced. My puppy decided to chew on the end of the ipod cracking the glass/breaking the screen. It has the extended warranty thing from Bestbuy, not sure if it will be covered though. Looking at Ipod's site now too.
anyone ever attempted to replace the screen on their own? Or have a site to recommend? I'm screwed. http://www.techrestore.com/xcart/product.php?productid=17124&cat=283&page=1
They will. It's no questions asked. Your fault or not, they are obliged to either repair it for free or replace it. I am sure it's cheaper for them just to give you a new one
20 bucks says you have the service guarantee. They will wipe your screen for you and maybe even clean out the gunk in your headphone jack for a low low price of 1/3 the device.
doesnt take 200 to get it repaired, get in touch with a apple center or tech, and they will give you more info.
buy a dead one on ebay (dead battery, wont carge, etc) and swap the screens, then sell the broken one on ebay... btw, nano's are for girls.
that place in your link is excellent. my friend has used it before, i'm pretty sure also for a screen crack. if your extended warranty doesn't work i'd go to them. i also doubt it's that hard to do it yourself and buy a screen on ebay, though never done it.
I read someplace that kids in school nowadays call the original ipod the "ghetto ipod" and they make fun of kids who have it. lol.
