[HELP!] Ingrown hair on my scalp

    About a month ago I noticed a weird bump on the back of my head after getting a haircut.I waited a couple of days and then decided to go to the doctor to get it checked out. He said it was a hair infection and prescribed me some antibiotics that made the swelling go down and all the gooey stuff leak out. Its been about 2 weeks since I finished the medicine and I still have the same little bald spot where the bump was at the beginning of all this. How long does it usually take for my hair to grow back? Could I still be infected?

    Yeah, definitely amputate. If you cut off your head, you won't get any more weird bumps in your hairline. Mainly cuz you'll be dead.

    Seriously now. Anyone have HELPFUL advice to treat this. Its embarassing walking around with a bald spot on the back of my head.

    Careful! There are plenty of people that function very normally with a bald spot on their head.

    Ok but does it usually take over a month to completely heal and the hair to grow back?

    You know you can call your doctor's office and ask to talk to a nurse for questions like this. She will tell you something or tell you to come in to talk to the doctor.

    Why do so many people come to the BBS for medical advice? :rolleyes:

    That bald spot will be there FOREVER. Hair doesn't grow back on scars. Grow a mullet and cover it up. :p

    I was going to try an post a funny pic of some head with a tumor. So I googled "tumor head". But the images that popped up are some of the most disturbing I have ever seen. :eek: :(
